Welcome to Alpha Academies Trust

The Alpha Academies Trust has been established to create a network of schools in North Staffordshire that provide excellent academic tuition and outstanding vocational experience for young people.  Our focus is on inspiring students to achieve, providing them with skills for the modern workplace, and, working closely with employers, to create innovative learning partnerships.

The Alpha Academies Trust works in partnership with a number of outstanding schools and academies, as well as regional education expert advisors.  We draw extensively on the experience and knowledge of our sponsor as well as our network of the region’s largest employers to devise our curricula and ethos.

If you are interested in the work of the Trust and would like to support us in any way – maybe as an employer, or a member of staff or as a parent or pupil then please contact us

Year 7 Form Tutor Parental Information Meeting

On 19/10/2017 at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm

Your child will have now completed their first month at The Discovery Academy and will hopefully be settling in well. We understand that the move for your child to a secondary setting is an important time and would like to provide an opportunity for you to meet your child’s Form Tutor on Thursday 19th October 2017.

So that you are fully aware of your child’s academic progress there will also be a Parental Information presentation during the evening, to provide information on a range of themes including the new 1-9 GCSE, the Academy’s assessment and reporting framework, parental engagement opportunities and homework. The presentation should last for approximately twenty five minutes and refreshments will be available.
